Hasbro - Mudflap (ROTF)

In Chevy Trax Concept Mode...

In Robot Mode...

As I think there is not much colour differentiation in ROTF series between the Takara version and Hasbro version, I bought the Hasbro Mudflap a few days ago. Mudflap and Skids are twin brothers, and they are pretty identical in both vehicle and robot modes. Mudflap has a revealed cannon with firing missile on his giant left arm. Similar to Skids when pressing the chest panel, it activates the head and headlights to move. The only thing I don't like is the two grey "flap out" parts from the chest which block the moveable arms for some poses. Other than this, everything is fine with me. For those who have Skids, I highly recommend Mudflap as its transformation is much easier and the figure looks pretty cool when standing side by side with Skids. Detailed transformation can be viewed via Optibotimus's Video here.

I find mudflap better than skid in design.

For those getting a ROTF Deluxe Mudflap to pair with their ROTF Deluxe Skids, be sure the back license plate is labelled "Mudflap" and not "Trax". The early batch of Mudflaps had Trax while the latest waves has "Mudflap" :)

i love the twins man...they're the best comic relief in the film..

and did anyone notice the decal on the ice cream truck of the twins in the movie??

it read '' decepticon ( symbol ) lick my popsicle!"

Leon, I guess this is your preference :)

Juliana, I didn't know that and just bought when saw it in BHG. Anyway, thanks for sharing :P

Joshua, I didn't notice that as I was focusing on the action-packed scenes in the movie :)

Wow, you actually managed to find Mudflap at BHG! When I was there almost 2 weeks ago, the ROTF section was very empty! :P

I observed that departmental stores near to cinemas tend to sell out their ROTF toys much faster than others which are not :)

Yes Juliana, this could be one reason why ROTF toys in BHG are sold out faster than other stores. This is similar to Isetan under Lido Cinema. To me, I usually go to OG Chinatown, BHG and Isetan Shaw as I think not many people go these stores for toy hunting. I guess these places are not "hot spot" areas..For instance, people seldom think of BHG..
