Toy Carnival at EXPO on 28 May 2010

It was the first time I went to EXPO Singapore. Besides gaming & electronics fair, there were furniture fair, book fair and Singapore food fair.

This was one of the halls where Toy Carnival was held - "Licence 2 Play" the Gaming and Electronics Fair 2010.

The gaming and electronic showcases occupied more than 75% of the space in the hall. The remaining was taken by "Toy Carnival". Falcon Hangar and G&B Comics were there.

Action City, Movie Mania and some shop owners from China Square Central are the few players we normally see in any toy fairs in Singapore. Surprisingly, no star wars cosplayers were "working" around these 3 days.

As I was there to help David, I would definitely took a photo of his booth. I also saw Dennis and his wife in the first day of Toy Carnival. Overall, nothing special and most of the toys there were on clearance sale.

Robin Hood

"Robin Hood chronicles the life of an expert archer, previously interested only in self preservation, from his service in King Richards army against the French.

Upon Richards death, Robin travels to Nottingham, a town suffering from the corruption of a despotic sheriff and crippling taxation, where he falls for the spirited widow Lady Marion, a woman skeptical of the identity and motivations of this crusader from the forest. Hoping to earn the hand of Maid Marion and salvage the village, Robin assembles a gang whose lethal mercenary skills are matched only by its appetite for life. Together, they begin preying on the indulgent upper class to correct injustices under the sheriff (Movie details: Golden Village website)."

This is a 2 hours 20 minutes show. The movie plot was average and it portrayed the early life of "Robin Longstride". The visual effects were good. I like the battle scenes as they looked realistic. Russell Crowe is definitely a heavy weight actor and his performance was great. But, I find Russell is not suitable to play the role of "Robin Hood" as he looks a bit old for this. I still prefer Russell's previous role as Maximus in "Gladiator". Anyway, the movie was entertaining and my overall rating is 3/5.

Hot Toys "T-800" in Terminator 2 Pt.1

The box packaging is simple. It has a slipcase showing the facial portrait of the figure with movie title embossed on the left. The back has an image of endoskeleton’s forearm with brief bio of T-800.

The inner box has a large window showing the fully dressed figure and accessories. On the back, it has another image of the figure’s facial portrait with a list of production credits printed on the right.

Open the inner box is a black vacuum formed tray that holds the content securely. See the head sculpt..there is no doubt this is another masterpiece done by our favourite Korean sculptor "Yulli".

Hot Toys - Tony Stark in Mech Test Version Pt.1

Unlike most Hot Toys box packages, this one is big and longer in length. The box is simple and grey in its overall appearance. The front of the box shows the interior details of Iron Man’s arm-mounted stabilizer while the back shows the interior details of a leg-mounted jet.

It opens sideways like a sport shoes box. Inside is a colour printed card with photo of the figure and a brief bio of the character. Lift up the card, there are two black vacuum formed trays.

The top tray holds the figure and accessories. Just look at the facial sculpt of Tony Stark..it's amazing!!

The bottom tray holds a figure stage and a mechanical robot that works as an accident detector.

Underneath the bottom tray, you will see another card with photo of War Machine and Iron Man 2 Mini Cosbaby figures. As for the instruction sheet and cardboard backdrop imitating Tony Stark workshop, they are packed in a clear plastic bag. As usual, more photos on the figure and accessories will be taken and posted soon.

WWE - "Chris Jericho" Mattel Assortment Series 3

The likeness of Jericho's head sculpt is quite accurate. The texture of the face is also okay but there is no colour differentiation between the facial skin and lips. This is a negative point to me.

The word "Jericho" with simple graphic is printed on the back of the red wrestling attire and it looks pretty cool.

Both wrestling boots have similar graphic design with "Jericho" name printed on the side.

Like most wrestling figures, Jericho has two knee pads made of soft rubber.

Chris Jericho plays as a villain in WWE and he is the 2008 superstar of the year. He also won the first ever Undisputed Championship in WWE. Besides "Walls of Jericho", "Codebreaker" is my favourite Jericho's finishing move. In April 2010, Jericho was drafted to RAW. For Jakks Pacific Chris Jericho in Ruthless Aggression 40, you may read my review here.

WWE - "Evan Bourne" Mattel 2 Packs Series 3

Evan Bourne is a high flying wrestler. He is 183 pounds and his height is 5 foot 9.

Bourne’s finishing move is "Shooting Star Press" which is also known as "Air Bourne". In kayfabe, the move "Shooting Star Press" is considered a more impactful version of a "Splash".

Although Bourne is not big in size, he is able to beat his opponents using some of the high flying moves. Those moves are impressive and provide wrestling fans with excitement.

For your information, Bourne is currently wrestling on Monday Night Raw.

WWE - "Drew McIntyre" Mattel PPV4 Elimination Chamber

Drew McIntyre is quite "new" to me as I just know this Smackdown villian recently.

The texturing of the hair is good and the likeness of McIntyre's head sculpt still looks okay.

Unlike most WWE superstars, McIntyre has no body tattoos.

McIntyre became the Intercontinental Champion after he defeated John Morrison in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs (TLC) match last year.
