Promotional poster for ASU figure "Eddy Lam"

As my hands are itchy these few days, I did some modifications of the background and design a promotional poster for the 1/6 scale ASU figure "Eddy Lam" (Background Source: Arch20).

Dragon Models 1/6 "Eddy" Hong Kong Airport Security Unit Pt.2

Look at the badge above. He is Eddy Lam - the Airport Security Unit (ASU) officer of the Hong Kong Police Force.

The navy blue beret is made of soft plastic. You can remove the beret from Eddy if you want.

Every ASU officer has a drop leg magazine holder which carries extra magazines for his pistol and submachine gun.

Besides a Browning Hi-Power pistol, Eddy has a set of Motorola radio with earpiece, a pair of handcuffs, a flashlight, a pager, a baton and a digital watch.

Eddy's primary weapon is the German made submachine gun "MP5A3" which is also my favourite SMG at all times.

Of coarse, Eddy has a bulletproof vest which I did not show it during my photo shoot.

As the figure was released in 2003, its body was not very articulated. So, some action poses are not "natural".

Looking at the head sculpt, it reminds me of a Hong Kong actor and singer Ekin Cheng.

The reason I review this figure is because I am currently watching a Hong Kong drama "Airport Strikers 機場特警 (2020)" which motivates me to take "Eddy" out of my toy shelf and take some pictures. You may see my promotional poster here and its packaging here.

ZC World 1/6 "Traffic Police: HK Street Scene Series"

These blue plastic drums are made of hard plastic and you can use them as your pen holders. In actual world, they are commonly used in Hong Kong street markets.

I got a pair of police traffic cones with blue blinkers. The blue blinkers are battery operated and its light blinks but not very bright.

The traffic bollard lights up using three button cells. I was disappointed when applying the stickers to the bollard as they are not properly produced. I have to cut them after all.

Of coarse, the yellow blinkers are used for road construction site.

This time, I took the Dragon 1/6 scale Traffic Police with Stephen Chow likeness to pose with these accessories. You may read my review on ZC World PTU: HK Street Scene Package here.

Dragon Models 1/6 "Darren Tong" in China Strike Force 雷霆戰警

This is the standard box art and design by Dragon Models Limited (DML).

The figure resembles Aaron Kwok as Darren Tong in the 2000 Hong Kong film China Strike Force.

Although the head sculpt resembles only a little bit of Aaron Kwok, I still consider it's a good sculpt. Anyway, the figure was released in 2000. We can't compare it with the big brands in current market.

The magazine pouch is made of plastic which has some detail but combat boots are my favorite. I guess the materials used to make the boots are fabric, leather and plastic. In fact, the boots look realistic.

Darren's hair style looks cool but it lacks of color tones, detail and texture.

Besides magazine pouch, the figure comes with a tactical belt which holds a handheld light, a walkie talkie and a drop leg holster with handgun in place.

As the wrist joints have limited range of movement, there is not much holding gun poses you can make for the figure.

You also can't get a lot of great poses from the figure as it doesn't have an articulated waist joint.

Surprisingly, Dragon plastic stand is able to support the figure with basic kick :)

No matter what, I am happy that I still can get this figure after 18 years. I have displayed it with the rest of my Dragon figures on shelf.
