Takara Tomy Deluxe Class "Dinobot Slug" AD07
Slug is a Triceratops which has two horns on its head and one on its snout. There are two more on the lower jaw too.
Purple is used on majority parts of the figure and red is used on the frills. The light grey parts are made of soft rubber for safety purpose.
If you want to move Slug's rear legs, you need to detach them from the rear panels. Because the rear legs are supposed to be held in place in Triceratops mode. However, the articulation is limited.
In addition, you cannot rotate or move the head up and down. You can only pose the lower jaw in open or close position.
In robot mode, Slug is an ancient warrior. The head with visor design is based on the armets which were used in ancient Europe.
No issue to rotate the head. Slug also has waist articulation in this mode.
I like the design of the legs as each foot has an adjustable pointed toe that allows the figure to stand better.
I love the overall design of the character. Even the appearance at the back of the figure is convincing.
I have to admit that Slug looks fantastic when holding his swords and the weapons fit very well to its fisted hands.
Although the colour application on this character is not movie accurate, the striking colour combination still makes the figure stand up. I highly recommend the Transformers fans to pick it up :)

Nice pix and review bro! Really enticing post! Glad I preordered the platinum edition.
Thank Jon..This is a great figure indeed :)
Dinobot Slug is a Toys R Us Exclusive here in Canada and it is made by Hasbro; not Takara. The Takara Tomy ones are more high quality.
Combo, the differences between Hasbro and Takara are the paint application and colour they used.
Great figure this is. I just wished it was Voyager-sized!
Yes Rebel, I like it very much especially in robot mode.
First of all, I like the metallic finish and colour scheme. The heavy armor to Triceratops is well defined. Robot mode, the head looks like a medieval knight helmet. Weapons alike sword and lance... Great toy bro ^_^
Ya Dennis..everything here is pretty good :)
Why does Takara's version of Slug have a Hasbro logo at the side of the box?
Genta, it is normal that Takara uses the same packaging design by Hasbro..Takara also adds Japanese information stickers on the packaging to differentiate the version.
