Nice catch! It's a pity that rubber tires over time may crack. And that's why they use plastic substitute instead.
Jon, I am fine with plastic tires. For transformers, the important thing to me is the tightness of their joints. Otherwise, they can't stand properly and difficult for display.
There nice decals on the vehicle but the material used looks plastic hence lack realism. The vehicle mode seems better.
Dennis, those logo and wordings are not decal. They are being printed on the surface of the vehicle.
