My X'mas presents...

The toy cabinets were delivered to my flat yesterday and it took my contractors nearly 7 hours to assemble them.

Soldier Story "Exclusive" for STGCC 2010

This year, I got myself the Soldier Story "Man in Suit with Advanced Narrow Shoulder Body" that was one of the exclusive 1/6 scale figures released for STGCC 2010. This is the paper carrier given when purchasing the Soldier Story figures from U-toys.

The packaging is pretty standard with a thin printed paper cover as slip case of the box. The front and back of the slip case have images of the figure with some text and logos.

The appearance of the box is in black with shining silver text and logos printed on front of the box lid. Remove the box lid is a fully dressed figure with likeness of Jeff Bridges surrounded in black die-cast foam. The figure also comes with two plastic packs of accessories. The accessories are a leather-like belt, a pair of socks, an extra pair of skinned hands and a cigar stub.

U-toys also gave me a handphone pouch that has their shop logo and address printed on as complimentary gift :)

Toy Carnival at SAM 8Q on 5 Dec 2010

This was the second Toy Carnival event organised by TFH this year. The first one was held in May 2010. As expected, we would see Zinc with his crew members and some familiar faces there.

These are some slight customised 1/6 scale figures by members of OneSixthWarriors.

The clone troopers with different colour deco are my favourite of all.

G&B Comics always had their booth beside TFH.

Surprisingly, Sebastian and Dave participated in the event while Simply Toys was not there.

As usual, I went down to help David to look after his booth (right above).

Jason had his booth setup beside David. Of coarse, there were some cosplayers participated in the event. I also saw Ken and Leon, but did not see Dennis that day. You may read Ken's coverage here, Leon's coverage here and Dennis's coverage here.

WWE "Sheamus" Mattel PPV6 Royal Rumble

Finally got the WWE figure "Sheamus" from Playbar as I have been waiting for him for quite some time. I will be keeping the figure in sealed box as this is the first release by Mattel.

Though the likeness of the head sculpt is not perfect but the colour paint on the hair and body is very well replicated. I like this character as not only he is a popular villain in WWE but also capable of destroying his opponents in the ring.

Hot Toys "War Machine" in Iron Man 2 Pt.1

Similar to the previous two releases for Iron Man 2 series - Whiplash and Black Widow, the packaging has a slip case showing the picture of the movie character at the front and the action figure at the back.

Remove the slip case, you will see a box with clear plastic window showing the armoured figure within. The list of production credit is printed on the back of the box.

For the accessories, you will have an alternate head with authentic likeness of Don Cheadle as Col. James "Rhodey" Rhodes in the movie, three extra pairs of interchangeable palms with light up repulsors, a face plate, a small rocket known as "Ex-Wife", two forearm machine guns, a rotatable and multi-directional gatling gun, an ammo strip and a figure stand.

Enterbay "Ip Man" Pt.1

The box packaging is simple with magnetic closures at the side. The front shows picture of Donnie Yen as Ip Man practicing his Wing Chun martial arts on the wooden dummy. At the back, the top part shows the movie scene where Ip Man was facing the ten Karate students. The bottom part has some text printed in English and Japanese as guidelines to maximize the life of the said product.

Open up the box, you will see three compartment containing a die-cut foam for the figure and two plastic trays for the accessories. The accessories given are three extra pairs of interchangeable hands, a white kung fu shirt, a wooden dummy, a feather duster and a metal made colour patterned floor tile.

Besides figure and accessories, there is a printed colour card showing the drawings of hundred and sixty five strokes of Wing Chun martial arts.

As you can see, the head sculpt is still okay with an 80% resemblance to the real actor. I will do my review on this figure as soon as possible...
