Leon - Please refer to the fourth picture of my post "in poseable angles". The three screw areas are where the batteries inserted. Just open the cover after loosening the screws and you can see the batteries inside. Each part needs 3 pieces of batteries. 6 small pieces for both arms and 3 medium sized pieces for chest and eyes. Total 9 pieces of batteries and the batteries are similar to our watch type (small, flat and round shaped).

Ya! It's on my shelf now. Also, took out all the batteries to avoid leakage in the future.
care to show where the battery is hidden? which type of battery?
