WWE - "William Regal" Mattel Assortment Series 4

From the facial expression, it seems like Regal is very sad. I personally prefer this figure to have an angry face or a cunning look. The head sculpt is still okay with good likeness of William Regal.

Regal has tattoos on both sides of the legs and a small one on the left forearm.

The hair sculpt is detailed and nicely replicated from the real person. The overall paint work is good and the only thing I don’t like about this figure is the colour of the lips as it is painted in lighter pink.

For your information, William Regal is an English professional wrestler. He plays as a villain in any of the WWE brands. His famous finishing move is Power of the Punch (left handed knockout punch with brass knuckles). Regal was also moved from ECW to Raw in February this year.

Prince of Persia - The Sands of Time

"From the team that brought the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy to the big screen, Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films present PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME, an epic action-adventure set in the mystical lands of Persia.

A rogue prince (JAKE GYLLENHAAL) reluctantly joins forces with a mysterious princess (GEMMA ARTERTON) and together, they race against dark forces to safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world (Movie Details: Golden Village website)."

It was a two hours adventure film. The story line was average and it had some twists in the middle and ending. There were lots of action scenes with good visual effects. But there was no chemistry between Prince Dastan (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) and Princess Tamina (played by Gemma Arterton). I just feel something was lacking but don't know what was that. I was bored at certain parts of the story but I enjoyed when the guards were chasing Prince Dastan around the market place. I also like the English actress "Arterton" as she is hot and got a sexy lips. Nothing great about Gyllenhaal and I personally think he was not the right one to play the role of Prince Dastan. Anyway, the movie is suitable for all ages and my overall rating is 2.5/5.

WWE - "Hornswoggle" Mattel 2 Packs Series 4

The reason I bought this figure is the head sculpts produced. The head sculpt is beautifully executed and it has a great likeness of Hornswoggle.

Mattel did a good paint job on the eyes, hair, eyebrows, lips and beard.

The hair sculpt is detailed and texture of the hair is great with different colour tone application.

This figure is definitely smaller and shorter than other wrestling figures.

Surprisingly, you can move the figure's legs sideways. For your information, Hornswoggle won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship before. He was also drafted back to the SmackDown brand in April this year. You may also see my Jakks Pacific Hornswoggle in Ruthless Aggression here.

Hot Toys - Tony Stark in Mech Test Version Pt.3

More photos taken on Tony with cardboard backdrop. The backdrop replicated Tony's private workshop where he practiced flight in the film.

The articulated mechanical robot has a 360° rotated base and fire extinguisher. It acted as an accident detector in Tony's private workshop.

This is the 6" X 6" black colour square-shaped figure stage with product name embossed on front. You may read my previous posts here and here.

Late Collection...

I just collected my Hot Toys Battle Damaged Iron Man Mark III during lunch yesterday. I will take photos and write review on this figure as soon as I can :P

The Losers

"An explosive action tale of betrayal and revenge, "The Losers" centers around the members of an elite Special Forces unit sent to the Bolivian jungle on a search and destroy mission. But the team-Clay (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Jensen (Chris Evans), Roque (Idris Elba), Pooch (Columbus Short) and Cougar (Oscar Jaenada)-soon find that they have became the target of a deadly double cross, instigated from inside by a powerful enemy known only as Max (Jason Patric).

Now presumed dead, the men join forces with a mysterious operative named Aisha (Zoe Saldana) to hunt down their enemy and even the score (Movie Plot extracted from Golden Village website and Fandango)."

It was an action packed movie with lots of shooting. I had no idea the story was based on a comic book. The story was a bit "old" but it’s easy to understand. It had some humour that made me laugh. Not much visual effects in the movie. All action and gunshot scenes were great. Overall, the movie was entertaining. I would recommend it to anyone who just wants to sit back and enjoy the action (Movie Rating: 3/5).

Hot Toys - Tony Stark in Mech Test Version Pt.2

This head sculpt is very much better than the one comes with Iron Man Mark III, and it represents good likeness of Robert Downey, Jr. Similar to other Iron Man figures, you can see the inner details of the miniature "arc reactor" embedded in the chest when the light is off.

As usual, Hot Toys delivers amazing paint work on the eyes, lips, eyebrows and beard. Besides realistic skin tone, the texturing work on the skin is great.

All the accessories like the cloth strap with buckle, leather belt, pouches and knee pads work pretty well.

Hot Toys did an amazing job on the complex details of the leg-mounted jets as they have been accurately replicated from the movie.

The rectangular battery box that connects wires to the arm-mounted stabilizers is nicely stored in the black pouch at the back.

The hair is finely sculpted with right amount of darker brown application. The loose strands that hang down at the front are nicely carried out too.

The leg-mounted jet has a workable half foot joint and the two pistons on the side can move forward and backward. They are pretty cool!!

As the arm-mounted stabilizers allow full 45 degree bend, the figure is able to hold some great poses seen in the movie as long as you are careful.

Besides LED lighted miniature "arc reactor" and hand palms, Hot Toys added light features in the base of the armoured boots. Certainly, all LED lights are nice and bright.

With all lights ON!! Tony Stark is standing in the air now. For box packaging, please see here.
