The Hangover

"Two days before his wedding, Doug and three friends drive to Las Vegas for a wild and memorable stag party. In fact, when the three groomsmen wake up the next morning, they can't remember a thing; nor can they find Doug. With little time to spare , the three hazy pals try to re-trace their steps and find Doug so they can get him back to Los Angeles in time to walk down the aisle (Synopsis extracted from Fandango website)".

The movie is surprisingly entertaining and hilarious. There are many unexpected parts which keep audience "chasing" the truths throughout the whole story. Although all the characters are not well known, their performance are great. One thing I don't understand is how the three guys went into Tyson's mansion without alerting his security guards? Anyway, I was impressed and this is not a movie for kids. I also laughed a lot when those dirty pictures are showed during the ending credits. I highly recommend this movie and my overall rating is 3.5/5. So, go to watch it!!

Hot Toys - Predator (con't)

As usual, the Predator comes with fabric net body suit. Besides, small bone trophies including a backbone, and skulls from different creatures are being hanged around the body.

The Predator with closed mandible...

See the Predator with open mandible, so ugly and yet so awesome!! The "self destruct" device is well made and painted.

The Predator is going to activate the "self destruct" device...

The articulated plasma cannon is awesome and the medical kit is stored nicely in the slot of the body armour on the back of the figure.

The Predator wears a loin-cloth and he also has plate armour over the rest of the body parts.

The gauntlet knives can be extended and retracted...

This is the Predator's mask with light-up laser nets.

Due to easy broken wires from the mask, I did not plug the wire connector in the back armour. Anyway, the light-up function of the mask is fine as I tested it. I had taken the batteries out of the battery compartment on the back of the figure to prevent leaking.

Other accessories are three interchangeable hands, a bloody human skull with backbone, a medical kit with non-removable tools and a jungle featured display base with a small pool of water in the center. WWE - John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL)

This is John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL) who is currently one of the nasty bad wrestlers in WWE. I personally prefer Bradshaw's previous role as tag team partner with Faarooq and together they formed "the APA". They were one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history.

I only realised this is not the "original" figure for JBL when I took it out of my bag for display. I suspect the shop owner had taken out the original torso of this figure for customisation and assembled back using another character's torso e.g. John Cena (2nd row picture from the left). The original torso for JBL should be the one similar to Kozlov (2nd row picture from the right) as JBL is not so "muscular" in real life. Anyway, I will not go back to the shop owner and ask for a loose figure replacement as I am very lazy to do so :P

Takara Tomy - The Fallen (ROTF)

When collecting the voyager class Fallen from TFH, this was the last piece left in the carton box. The voyager Fallen is really popular and I heard people are now selling them at S$75 each even in Hasbro version. Really crazy!! The only difference between the Hasbro version and Takara version is the placement of two pink colour energy absorption panels beside the head. For Hasbro version, we can see both panels are revealed beside the head and this is what the picture shows in the box. Whereas for Takara version, both panels were folded and hidden behind the head (please refer to 3rd and 4th pictures above). Anyway, I am not taking the figure out of the box now as I think it looks nice in sealed box. For transformation of the Fallen, you may view Optibotimus Video here.

Hasbro - Desert Tracker Ratchet (ROTF)

In Hummer H2 Mode...

In Robot Mode...

Since I wanted to have all Autobot figures in ROTF series, Ratchet has to be in my collection. In fact, I don't really like Ratchet. I guess there are not much differences to this voyager class figure when comparing to the 2007 version. The current change is a little bit of white colour tone was sprayed on the two doors and front bumper. All the parts which were originally painted in black for 2007 version are now in grey. The only accessory is the roof rack which could be converted to shield or combat stretcher when in Robot Mode. There is a hidden axe in the right arm which we did not see Ratchet used in the movie. You may view the transformation via Samusngproductions Video here.

Hot Toys - Major Alan "Dutch" Schaefer in Predator (con't)

Wow!! see the Arnold Schwarzenegger's likeness head sculpt...Damn awesome!!

Tried very hard to zip the brown jacket up but not successful. I guess the zip fastener is just for show only.

Besides having a holster for the pistol, the sheath on the right leg is for the long combat knife.

My favourite weapon here is the M16 Rifle mounted with Grenade Launcher. I think I have mistaken placing the combat knife "outside" the sheath, the knife should be placed in the sheath..Haha!!

Due to the broken peg connected to the right hand (why me, Hot Toys? what did I do to you previously? you sabotage me), I just posed the figure in a standing position. I think the flaw here is not a problem as long as it can hold the hand from dropping.

Besides the two round-shaped hand grenades, other accessories include an extra left hand for holding cigar which I didn't show them in my pictures here.

Again, the flaw is not a big problem if I just rotate the head a little bit and not too much.

Despite all these flaws, I am still happy to own this figure due to the jaw dropping awesome head sculpt produced by Hot Toys. In my opinion, the figure looks even better if there are weathering effects made on the uniform, vest and boots.
